I've played high-low and blackjak since I've been on the zone. I am tired of playing for meager amounts of points. I think that the limit of 10000 points should be increased or removed. Why is their a limit? Is it really necessary?
I agree, I'll bug the admins as to why. Who knows maybe there is a valid reason <smile>
There is a valid reason. It was in an old thread, but I can't be bothered looking for it.
I don't know about removing it perminantly, but say 1 or 2 days a week, allow people to put the whole pot on the table. The points, accept for satisfactory reasons are meaningless anyhow, so why
hitlerise it?
well I don't think it matters really.. But I think that it kinda cheats you .. i mean it doesn't really explain to you how in order the high cards go they only say 2's are low and aces are high.. Maybe explain the probability more?
Yeah I think the number of points you can wager should be increased.
I'd love to not only see the limit changed, or removed, but also have money given back because you get a blackjack and the points are still deducted.
I asked the higher ups and its because they don't want people having unfairly inflated amounts of points. It's not fair to the ones who don't have that many points to bet to begin with. Something like that anyways <shrug>
MN, I'm glad you mentioned the thing with blackjack where sometimes even though you get blackjack on the first hand you still lose points. That has happened to me a number of times, and I have written the admin about it, but have gotten no response.
There used to be either no limits or much higher limits when I first joined the zone. But then the 10000 point limit came along but only after several people already had billions of points. So now no one will ever be able to catch up with them.
They say blackjack has a bug init, but they can't find it. Create another version then I gues. I realize that would tkae some work,b ut if the bug is there and you can't fidnit, why have it up there?

The reason for the limits on blackjack/high low is that the sitecan only handle so many points per user, I believe it is something like 4 billion and a few people reached that level. The only to solve this problem in the short term was to adjust the winners earnings accordingly, for details on how that was done ask J, and to put a limit on the number of points one can bet when playing one of these games. There was talk of doing another points reset at some point in the not so distant future, but I don't know if or when that will happen for sure. The idea behind this is so that newbies have a momre level playing field as far as gaining points, but then again, what does it matter? It's not like u can really use the points for anything.
Speaking of which, KC8, are we gonna find some way to use these points or something?

Hmm that's sad I would have loved to have more points to gain. But crazy musician, good point. It would be fun to use these points somehow.

cool! did anyone notice the limit's gone way up? it's not nearly as bad anymore, and certain people are taking advantage, lol. now let's hope the bet amounts could go up!!
